Pattern Studio Coordinate System
The Pattern Studio employs a standard 2D Cartesian coordinate system, ensuring precision and consistency in point placement and path definition.

Cartesian Coordinates (X, Y)
Locations are primarily defined by X and Y coordinates:
- The X-axis extends horizontally; positive values increase to the right.
- The Y-axis extends vertically; positive values increase upwards.
- The origin (0,0) serves as a reference point; absolute coordinates ensure precise placement within the design canvas.
Angles
Angles are measured in degrees, adhering to standard mathematical conventions:
- Angles are measured counter-clockwise from the positive X-axis (equivalent to the 3 o'clock direction).
- 0° or 360°: Corresponds to the positive X-axis (rightward).
- 90°: Corresponds to the positive Y-axis (upward).
- 180°: Corresponds to the negative X-axis (leftward).
- 270°: Corresponds to the negative Y-axis (downward).
A clear understanding of these conventions is vital when applying angle constraints or utilizing formulas that involve angular measurements.
