Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SeamScape website and web application (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. General Information
The Service is provided by Illumetric Technologies AB ("SeamScape", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Sweden. SeamScape is a platform for creating, managing, and sharing digital sewing patterns and related content.
2. User Accounts
2.1 Account creation: You may need an account to access certain features. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
2.2 Account security: You are responsible for protecting your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Free and Paid Services
The Service may include free and paid features. Prices and material changes to paid features will be shown before you purchase or renew them.
4. Your Content and Intellectual Property
4.1 Your ownership: You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in patterns, measurements, construction specifications, images, overlays, materials, and other content that you create or upload to the Service ("User Content"). Uploading User Content does not transfer ownership to SeamScape.
4.2 Limited service license: You grant SeamScape a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and back up User Content only as technically necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Service. This license also allows us to make User Content available to people and organizations you choose to share it with and to service providers acting on our behalf.
4.3 No commercial reuse or AI training: SeamScape does not sell or license your User Content, use it to create or commercialize patterns for other customers, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models unless you give separate, explicit permission. We may use aggregated or de-identified service statistics that do not contain your pattern geometry, images, or other User Content.
4.4 Private, shared, and public content: Non-public User Content is made available only as needed to operate the Service, to authorized people you share it with, to service providers acting on our behalf, or when required by law. If you choose to publish User Content, you direct us to make it available to other users. Public patterns may be viewed and copied using the Service's public-pattern features. Removing public access does not remove copies that other users previously created.
4.5 Connected services: If you connect an external application, API client, or MCP client, you authorize SeamScape to provide the data and permissions you approve to that service. The external provider's terms and privacy practices apply to its processing.
4.6 Commercial work: You may use User Content you create through the Service for commercial purposes, provided that you have the necessary rights and comply with applicable law. SeamScape does not acquire commercial usage rights in your designs solely because you use the Service.
4.7 Your responsibilities: You must have the rights needed to upload, share, or publish User Content. You must not upload content that infringes another person's rights or violates applicable law.
5. SeamScape Intellectual Property
The Service itself, including its software, branding, interface, documentation, and content supplied by SeamScape, is owned by Illumetric Technologies AB or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. This section does not apply to User Content.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service to:
- violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights;
- upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service;
- interfere with the Service or another user's access; or
- access another user's non-public content without authorization.
7. Service Providers and Legal Disclosures
We may use hosting, storage, communications, analytics, payment, and support providers to operate the Service. They may process User Content only as needed to provide their services to us. We may also preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce these Terms, or protect the rights and security of users, SeamScape, or others.
8. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects a paid feature, where practicable.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability or suitability for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Illumetric Technologies AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version and its effective date on this page and provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Mandatory consumer-protection rules and rights to bring claims in another competent forum remain unaffected.
