Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Illumetric Technologies AB ("SeamScape", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Sweden, collects and uses information when you use SeamScape.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and contact information

We collect information you provide when you create an account, contact us, subscribe to communications, join an organization, or make a purchase. This may include your name, email address, organization, country, billing details, and the contents of your communications.

1.2 Patterns and other User Content

We process the patterns, measurements, construction data, images, overlays, materials, exports, versions, and related metadata that you create, upload, or store. Content may be marked private, shared with an organization or selected users, or made public by you through the Service.

1.3 Service usage and device information

We collect account and session identifiers, feature usage, pattern structure summaries such as counts of pieces or seams, timestamps, error and security logs, IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. IP addresses and other online identifiers may constitute personal data.

1.4 Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and Service operation. With consent where required, we may also use analytics or marketing technologies. You can manage non-essential choices through the cookie controls shown on the Service or through your browser.

2. How and Why We Use Information

We process information to:

  • create and administer accounts and organization access;
  • store, render, version, export, share, and otherwise provide requested pattern features;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and support the Service;
  • process payments and maintain transaction records;
  • measure feature performance and improve reliability and usability;
  • respond to messages and send requested service communications;
  • send marketing communications when permitted, including with consent where required; and
  • comply with legal obligations and protect users, SeamScape, and others.

Our legal bases under applicable data-protection law include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

3. User Content, AI, and Connected Services

SeamScape does not use User Content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models unless you give separate, explicit permission. We may use aggregated or de-identified service statistics that do not contain pattern geometry, images, or other User Content.

If you connect an external application, API client, or MCP client, that service can receive the data and permissions you approve. Its provider processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy. Disconnecting a service prevents new access but does not control copies the external provider already received.

4. How We Share Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • At your direction: to users, organizations, the public, or connected services when you choose to share, publish, or connect content.
  • Service providers: to providers supporting hosting, storage, communications, analytics, payments, security, and customer support, subject to appropriate contractual protections.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal data or User Content.

5. Storage, International Transfers, and Retention

We use database, object-storage, hosting, and communications providers to operate the Service. Providers may process information in the European Economic Area and other countries. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.

We retain account information and User Content while needed to provide the Service. When content or an account is deleted, copies may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, or records we must retain for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes. Retention periods depend on the type of data and why it is processed.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. In Sweden, this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. To make a data request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Additional age or parental-consent requirements may apply under local law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised version and its effective date on this page and provide additional notice when required by law.
